Sign of the Beaver project - Students received project directions on Monday, Nov. 16th. They will need to do research for the project at the public library. Students may also conduct research on the internet. They will need extra materials to make some of the models they are interested in creating.
Supplies: Students need more index cards, red checking pens, and regular blue and black pens.
Study Island(www.studyisland.com) - Students can practice math skills on study island, through your home computer or at the library. This is a great way to have your child practice exactly what is not understood. The students have their usernames and passwords in their agendas.
Basic Math facts: Each student should practice all of their basic facts(addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) until they can say each answer in fourseconds. This skill is essential to basic understanding, So practice away!
Spelling: Students who find spelling difficult, should take home their spelling book on the weekend, and begin studying the next Unit. Writing the words and then spelling them out loud is often very helpful.
